1. Account Ownership and Responsibility
All players are expected to ensure that their account, IP address, Social Club, and hardware are not used to break the server rules. In cases where an Internet network or hardware is shared between multiple players and one player breaks the rules, the entire shared network and hardware may be banned until appeal.
Game accounts may not be transferred, traded, gifted, or shared under any circumstances. Players are fully responsible for everything that occurs on their account.
2. Donations and Refunds
WK Gaming has a strict no-refund policy on any and all donations. Donations are made voluntarily to help keep the server running and/or to support the community. A donation is considered a gift and does not constitute a transaction involving any obligation from WK Gaming.
Items obtained through store credits are non-refundable after 24 hours and are non-transferable unless explicitly permitted by script functionality.
Because donations are not considered transactions, chargebacks are strictly prohibited. Any attempt to charge back a donation will result in the immediate removal of assets and a permanent ban until a ban appeal has been reviewed and accepted.
3. Deathmatching (DM)
Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without a proper in-character (IC) motivation and/or prior escalation. There must be sufficiently provable negative interaction between the involved parties to justify an attack.
Examples of valid escalation and negative interaction include, but are not limited to:
- Hostile behavior
- Threats
- Verbal abuse or harassment
- Insults
- Physical aggression (including tackling)
- Ignoring lawful or criminal demands
- Calling for backup or reinforcements
- Protecting your own life or property
- Protecting the life or property of friends or allies
For example, realistically, someone would not normally shoot another person over a simple insult or minor damage to their property or vehicle. Instead, such an interaction could escalate through trash talking, a physical altercation, and only then potentially lead to firearms being drawn and a firefight ensuing.
All attacks must stem from a negative interaction with proper escalation that results in a justifiable attack or self-defense scenario. Each player is expected to use sound judgement and consider what level of retaliation they would realistically take in the real world, keeping in mind real-life repercussions such as serious injury, death, incarceration, or other severe consequences.
4. Fear Roleplay (FRP)
FearRP (FRP) requires players to prioritize their character's safety and act as if they only have one life. This means taking realistic precautions to actively avoid situations that would knowingly put their character’s life at risk.
Examples of improper FearRP include, but are not limited to, walking into a bank that is actively being robbed to deposit or withdraw money, or driving through an active firefight without the intention to reach cover, safety, or actively participate in the firefight. These actions are considered intruding into situations that place your character’s life at unnecessary risk.
Players whose life is in direct danger must roleplay adequate fear and are expected to comply with demands when faced with a lethal weapon (firearm). Choosing not to surrender is only appropriate if you have a reasonable means of resistance or escape, such as possessing a firearm or having an immediately accessible getaway. Simply attempting to run on foot without such reasonable means does not qualify.
Players who are outnumbered (e.g., 3v1 or greater) are expected to show adequate fear and comply. If an attacker lowers their weapon to type or pull out a phone to call police or assistance, victims remain under FearRP.
A player is not showing proper fear if they run on foot while a lethal weapon (firearm) is aimed at them at close range, or if they repeatedly drive into an active shootout without intent to flee or actively join the fight.
Melee weapons are excluded from actively placing someone under FearRP, as it is realistic for someone to attempt to flee from a melee weapon that cannot cause harm outside of close range.
A player may react if they are in a powered vehicle, already have a weapon drawn, or if the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object. Players are not allowed to circumvent FearRP by constantly holding a firearm while driving. Drivers must exit the vehicle before drawing a weapon unless they are a passenger. Players found driving and firing a weapon simultaneously in an unrealistic manner should be reported.
